Palo Alto, CA (March 9, 2022) — Databook, the market and technology leader in consultative sales intelligence, today announced successful completion of its SOC 2 Type 2 audit.
The SOC 2 Type 2 certification with security report, conducted for Databook by Dansa D’Arata Soucia LLP, is a full independent audit and verification of the efficacy of Databook’s controls related to the secure processing of data based on its trust principles of security and availability. The audit attests that Databook has comprehensively met the rigors of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) SOC 2 standard, thereby ensuring a strict adherence to today’s best practices in the secure handling and management of system data.
“SOC 2 Type 2 certification is an extensive process that requires all of Databook’s systems be thoroughly tested in place over a period of time,” explains Anne Simpson, Databook’s Privacy and Security Manager. “While we are confident in our data protection efforts, we also felt it important to go the extra mile to earn the deepest level of customer trust. That’s what our SOC 2 Type 2 certification delivers.”
As a customer intelligence platform, Databook’s value centers on its ability to deliver, analyze, and store a wealth of information around company financials and performance. In addition, customers leverage this data to create their own proprietary sales and marketing tools. By achieving SOC 2 Type 2 certification, Databook is assuring customers that the systems used to safeguard this data have been tested and validated by a third party. This additional peace of mind enables go-to-market teams to continue focusing on their primary objective of accelerating the time to value in their business.
“Databook is committed to meeting all security, privacy, and compliance obligations,” says Anand Shah, Databook Co-Founder and CEO. “As such, we will continue to conduct an independent review of our information security practices via the SOC 2 Type 2 certification frequently. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of information security for our customers and users allowing them to focus on closing transformative deals with their customers, while solidifying customer trust of the critical data we manage.”
